![]() ![]() It's very hard for Peach to come down on Marth, because you can shark her descent with up-air/fair. Ideally, you should almost always upthrow off of a grab. At higher%'s, this f-throw/d-throw mixup can be used to get an f-smash or wd->f-smash on poor di.Įdit (3/14/16): These are just some side notes that I haven't tested very much. Somewhere around mid%'s, you can do a jigglypuff-esque pseudo-chaingrab where you mixup f-throw/d-throw, and if they di in, you get a re-grab. You can also get f-throw->dash attack until high%'s, which leads into up-tilt/upair/fair, but if Peach has good down and away di, then she's always able to tech it. Also, at low%'s up-throw into up-tilt, fair, or upair are good ways to start juggles. If you get a grab: at 0% you have your usual f-throw re-grab on poor di/reaction, so you can get away with it sometimes if you grab->throw quickly. Wavedashing away probably isn't a good idea because of the startup time and you will have terrible di if you get clipped while holding the wd angle. Both options are bad/scary, so just try to not be in that situation or jump out quickly. At lower shield levels, even shield-di away gets shieldpoked maybe lightshield is preferable here. D-smash will shieldpoke you at full shield unless you shield-di away. It also arcs high enough that you can clip low floats with it as well. Useful for punishing reads on turnip pulls or dash-dance movement. ![]() Just don't spam it, it's still a trash move. I like properly spaced dash attack in this matchup, it pops peach up for an up-tilt/u-air followup, which both lead to juggles. This is a collection of my current thoughts/notes on the Marth/Peach matchup. ![]()
